Historic Freehold Township is located in Western Monmouth County.  Freehold Township has much to offer prospective home buyers – Freehold Raceway Mall offers shopping,  a wide range of dining is in the area and medical care is available through Centra State Hospital and the surrounding medical professionals. A mix of industry, office space and retail space combine to form a strong tax base.

As of the 2010 United States Census, the township population was 36,184 and the median income for a household was $77,185. Freehold Township has a total area of 38.5 square miles.

Commuter bus service to NYC is available on the Route 9 corridor. Route 9 gives access to the Garden State Parkway while Route 33 goes east towards the Jersey Shore and west towards the NJ Turnpike, Princeton and Trenton.

The Battle of Monmouth from the Revolutionary War was fought on land that is now part of Freehold Township and Manalapan. The Monmouth Battlefield State Park preserves the historical battlefield and encompasses almost 3,000 acres and offers miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding; picnic areas, and a restored Revolutionary War farmhouse. Freehold also has an extensive recreational sports program for the children.

All homes in Freehold township send school age children to the Freehold Township school system for grades K-8, homes in Howell send their children to the Howell school system, grades K-8. High school children for both Freehold Township & Howell send their children to the Freehold Regional High School District, which  consists of 6 high schools - Freehold, Manalapan, Marlboro,  Freehold Township, Howell and Colts Neck. Children usually attend the closest high school -  most of East Freehold will attend Freehold High School, most of the southern end of Freehold Twp will attend Freehold Twp., as will the northern section of Howell.

Each high schools has a specialized Learning Center for highly motivated and talented students, who are all are eligible for enrollment through a  competitive admission process . The curriculums at the Specialized Learning Centers are:
Freehold Township - animal and botanical sciences academy, global issues
Howell  - humanities, performing and fine arts academy
Marlboro - business administration
Freehold - medical and computer sciences, culinary arts/hospitality management academy     Manalapan - science and engineering, law enforcement and public safety academies and automotive technology
Colts Neck - a Navy JROTC character and leadership development academy, law and public service

At all of the high schools, SAT scores consistently exceed state and national averages, and more than 87 percent of the district's students pursue higher education.
